Born in Santo Domingo, Luichy Guzmán began playing guitar at age 12 and holds a degree in Contemporary Music from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña. A professional musician since the 1990s, he’s studied with mentors like Manuel Tejada and Corey Allen. His career spans rock bands, vocal ensembles, symphony orchestras, and musical theater, including collaborations with Grammy winner Juan Luis Guerra and singer-songwriter Pavel Núñez, as well as composing soundtracks for films like Ladrones, Veneno, and La Vida de los Reyes. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Luichy specializes in pop and rock, tailoring lessons to each student’s interests in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians.
